Since a few years Amen Ra has grown out to be Belgians finest postcore band with international proportions. Unusual for the genre, Amen Ra has found a public much broader than just the expected postcore lovers. 'Mass IIII' is the band's second full length after the critically acclaimed 'Mass III' (2006) and appears to be a logically following, though more refined album. Where 'Mass III' was an impressive and massive entitiy, 'Mass IIII' shows subtlety and variation. 'De Dodenakker' is Amen Ra as we knew it but 'Silver Needle. Golden Nail' brings soundscapes of feedback and tribal rhythm, whereas 'Aorte. Nous Sommes du Même Sang' reminds of Apse. 'Le Gardien des Rêves' does not really impress but what to say of the beautiful 'Thurifer. Et Clamor Ad Te Veniat', that brings us Amen Ra at its doomiest.
Welcome to the Church of Ra!
