The first Belgian contribution is the album 'Jus de box' from Arno, an icon of Belgian music. Arno Hintjens was already well known in the eighties throughout Europe: with the legendary band T.C. Matic, he was a worthy counterpart of the North-American and British wave bands. After T.C. Matic, Arno built up an impressing solo-career with successful studio albums and dazzling live performances.
Now the man has a new album, 'Jus de Box', and again, Arno explores diverse genres like chanson, reggae and rock. Highlights are 'From Hero to Zero' – think of blues made in a trashcan, 'Douce' and 'Mourir à Plusieurs', a perfect example of the Arno touch.
For those of you who never heard of Arno before, we highly recommend the album 'Le Best of Arno'. For the people who have blind faith in music reviews: just buy 'Jus de Box'.
