No need more than a first album (“06/06 am”) and a great collaboration with Angil (“The John Venture”) to place Broadway on the list of the most interesting French bands. With this songwriter the band composed a brilliant and melodious folktronica similar with the one Anticon is used to release with Why? or Son Lux. More confident than ever, Broadway releases “Enter The Automaton”, a new album bathed in sensitivity because of the fact that the coldness technologies used before have been replaced by the human warmth of musicians. By the way, some will find here the frozen melodies heard in Sigur Ros, the typical British approach of Radiohead and the precision of Notwist, but above all a touching French pop band with cinematographic attractions who makes you want to dive naked in a cotton wool field. An excellent and inspired 5 man line up.
