Cactusfestival distinguishes itself as a music festival focussing on music from all over the world. During three summer days it turns the fairy-talelike Minnewaterpark into a crossing of all kinds of music and cultures: a meeting place for internationally celebrated artists, musical innovators facing the future and an openminded audience. Cactusfestival aims at artistic quality, rather than at commercial successes.
Cactusfestival visitors face ‘world’ music in the broadest possible sense. A most beautiful globalisation, tearing down the walls between different genres, continents and people. A man-sized festival offering an easy going atmosphere and no heartbreaking dilemmas: there’s only one stage so visitors can enjoy the entire programme. Cactus presents full-sized concerts and artists in great shape. Offstage too, a lot is happening. In short: a warm hearted festival, stimulating all senses.
