Ignatz is in fact Bram Devens, who creates dark and dense soundscapes with his guitar and voice. His sounds resemble psychedelic mists full of melancholy. Where noise and distortion were more dominant on previous releases I and II, the influences have now somewhat oriented towards American folkblues. The third Ignatz record conveys an international gloom, leaving the listener broken but asking for more. // Kristof Vande Velde
