It is always a festive and long-awaited occasion in the Czech Republic when the singer Dan Bárta and his band Illustratosphere record new album. Animage has been shortly after its release one of the top selling titles. What´s really interesting about it is that Illustratosphere is not a hip hop, disco or R´n´B band. Illustratosphere´ s main influence comes from marginal genres, jazz and blues. However, Dan Bárta and his colleagues are able to do what they want so avidly, convincingly and with passion that the listener´s got no other choice than to enjoy the music. It also won´t be an obstacle for foreigners that the whole album is in Czech because Bárta developed his own euphonic language which isn´t necessary to understand. // Jan Kyncl
