With their sombre, deep rock, Kim Novak can easily compete with English bands. Formed in Normandy a few years ago, this four-piece band resurrects cold-wave from the eighties. Inspired by bands such as The Cure and Joy Division, their first record, Luck & Accident, is also inspired by Interpol and The Velvet Underground. Songs like 'Reaction' or 'Female Friends' seem like they could have been written twenty years ago. Kim Novak, who take their name from the famous American actress of Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, will give you the shivers.
