Monsoon is a Brussels based band formed by singer Delphine Gardin and composer Joël Grignard. On their 4th (!) album they sound more edgy and the result is a couple of sturdy songs: 'Big Dog' and 'Hit and Run' are perfect examples. But the more non-typical-Monsoon songs really do the trick: a Hammond-riff dominates 'Decadent Dandy' and 'Commic Strip Bubbles' is a simply stunning duet with Sacha Toorop, aka Zophophop. Nice!
