Shadowanimals is a collective/label from Kortrijk, a city in the far west of Belgium. Different Shadowanimals-groups, mostly influenced by hiphop, have already released dozens of albums and EPs. The sound of these artists is very recognizable: avant-garde hiphop with small soundscape and/or rock injections. Nomad is the youngest product of this collective. In contrary to his fellow labelmates, Nomad chooses another path. The result is an awkward little album, filled with funny little voices and beautiful melodies. Just add some dreamy loops and minimalistic beats and you get the idea: sunny electropop for the masses, indeed.
