Dansdepartementet, Brända Barn, Imperiet, Lolita Pop, Commando M Pigg, Reeperbahn, Camouflage/Tapirerna... Pascal goes back to the theatrical and bombastic swedish post punk of the 80's for their second album "Galgberget". On the way back again they pick up bits and pieces like Bobby Gillespies lazy drumming in early Jesus and Mary Chain, the psychabilly-twang of The Cramps and the drama of swedish band Franke.
It could have ended up in pointless retro kitsch, but the trio from Gotland (the island outside the swedish south east coast) manages to add a personal flavour and creates an explosive and interesting blend of their own. Hear the power and drive in tracks like "Längtar efter dig", "Cadillac", "Rödlätta man" and the Judas Priest cover "Smärtstillande" ("Painkiller"). Good stuff!
