The home-recorded eponymous debut album from 2005 was sympathetic but rather quiet. The contrast to the spectacular "Migration" is quite striking, together with swedish indie-superstar producer Mattias Glavå the Gothenbourg quartet has created an explosion of pop gems. The sound is luxurious and the melodies so instant and filled with self-confidence that it seems more appropriate to refer to Abba than some of the indie classics.
The songs can be devided into three main categories; sparkling guitar pop à la first single ’Subtle Changes’ is mixed with deep blue Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood/Dean & Britta-ballads and cathchy electro
pop. It's a really good album from beginning to end, with 'Final Say' as the icing on the cake, a splendid pastiche of New Orders ’Bizarre Love Triangle’ that most likely will follow in the in the fotsteps och Peter, Bjorn & Johns 'Young Folks' and become a major hit. Another success for Labrador.
