Soapstarter is a freshly formed band with an allstar line-up: members of Belgian finest rockband dEUS joined forces with musicians of Vive La Fête and Skeemz. That makes one big melting pot of hiphop, electro and rockinfluences. 'Bad News' for example sounds like J.J. Cale discovering the benefits of electronica. In 'Cum' you can hear Beck-like funky voices. And in 'Mia Maya' some strange things happen with a sheep. Nice tunes and a complete lack of seriousness: what more can you wish for? // Jeroen Michiel
