Speaker Bite Me made four great albums from 1997-2001, but took a big break in 2002. Back on track, they have made their probably best album ever. Truly original, Speaker Bite Me combine elements from noise rock like Sonic Youth and vintage Blonde Redhead with more pop-orientated as well as avant-garde stuff, recklessly quoting anything from Pink Floyd via Laurie Anderson and Kate Bush to Prince and April Stevens’ 1959 classic “Teach Me Tiger”. The use of interacting, brilliant male and female lead vocals add the final touch to a minor art-pop masterpiece.
