This duo of violoncellists - Andrea Konstankiewicz and Dorota Barova - was born in the year of 2000. Both members have been studying on conservatory in Ostrava, but they met later, while studying musicology. Even though both women are from The Czech Republic, they sing in Polish, nevertheless lyrics are not that important. Voices are used more like instruments. Their style is influenced by classical music (because of the cellos), melodiousness of Moravian folk songs and some tunes also contain harmonic complexity of jazz. In 2001, the duo was awarded by the Czech Academy of Music in the categories "Alternative Music - World Music" and " Break-through of the Year". // Jan Mazura
