On their second album – even better than the sometimes quite corny and kitschy, glam-inspired 2003 debut – the band is obviously inspired by the groovy rock of Franz Ferdinand and their followers, but with a personal touch, for example on the reggae-orientated single “Letters from the Ambulance”. Indie-sadness and danceable grooves fit perfectly well together on this album and all songs are extremely catchy. The album is also brilliantly produced with a lot of interesting details – especially the backing vocals. The Fashion is still a band without neither a label nor many listeners outside Denmark, but they have the potential to break through internationally – no doubt! // Ole Rosenstand Svidt
