After a couple of excellent EPs, some brilliant remixes and the sublime 'Kappsta' on Kompakts Pop Ambient 2007-compilation the expectations on Axel Willners debut album as The Field was sky high. He easily lives up to those expectations. Willners personal interpretation of techno makes a sharp contrast to the sparse minimal wich has dominated the scene over the last years; myriads of tiny samples is knitted together and combined with soft elastic beats and strokes of synths into into lush and melodic electronic symphonies. From Here We Go Sublime will no doubt be regarded as one of the premiere albums of 2007. // Lars Jämtelid
