This band from Hans Christian Andersen’s hometown Odense got discovered by Simon Raymonde, label boss of England’s Bella Union (Midlake, The Dears, The Czars a.o.) and former bass player of legendary the Cocteau Twins, right after he had listened to their music on MySpace. Later, they got hired by the Editors as a support act on their European fall 2007 tour. Their self-titled debut album presents catchy pop tunes in a dramatic soundscape filled with beautiful strings and intense, sensible vocals – not far from for instance Arcade Fire and Band Of Horses – and got rave reviews in Denmark as well as in England where Mojo, The Guardian and The Times all gave the album 4 out of 5 stars-reviews. // Ole Rosenstand Svidt
