Tiny Telephone is the name of a, lets say, magical studio in San Francisco. A studio, owned by Brad Jones, used by Death Cab For Cutie, Beulah, Josh Rouse or Deerhoof. Tiny Telephone is also the name of the last album by The Sunday Drivers after the “famous”, at least in Spain and France, Little Heart Attacks. The result: an elegant and catchy blend of pop and folk that raises over The Band’s (and Billy Preston’s) ashes shining in sunny California. The tools: acoustic guitars, soulful voice (singing in english) and WONDERFUL keyboards. And when I say wonderful I really mean wonderful because one of the best Spanish Hammond players is in charge of them (you gotta listen to Speaklow, his instrumental funk-soul band: www.myspace.com/speaklow). Good and easy going album.
