Rockit is a project entirely dedicated to Italian independent music. It was founded in May 1997 as a webzine and it officially became a nation-wide cultural association in 2000. Rockit is now also a free-press magazine (“Rockit MAG”) distributed in the main Italian cities in 20,000 copies, and a music festival (“MI AMI - Musica Indipendente A MIlano”) held every June in Milan with the best of the Italian independent music scene. Rockit has also an online radio (“Radio Rockit”), with a selection of the best Italian independent music of the moment.

Rockit is managed by a young staff of 7 people and has more than 50 active contributors from all around Italy.
