Polish singer of Cuban descent, Yvonne Sanchez, has become a Prague citizen fourteen years ago. During this time she established herself as one of the country’s leading interpreters of jazz and latin music. However, she is not hiding herself in some tiny jazz club as many rigid jazz musicians do. An extraordinary succes of her last album „My Garden“ provided ample proof of her ability to adress wider audience consisting not only of jazz lovers. On „My Garden“ Yvonne tears down the borders between pop and jazz, she celebrates her big heroine Sarah Vaughan while adding something fresh and hip.
